The DCC-10 is an electric vehicle energy management system (EVMS) that allows a charging station to be connected directly to a single-family home's electrical panel, which would otherwise not have sufficient capacity to allow the connection. How it works: The DCC takes a real-time reading of the energy consumption of the home or condo's electrical panel; - Detects when the total energy consumption exceeds 80% of the main circuit breaker's capacity and temporarily cuts off power to the charging station; - Automatically re-powers the charging station when the total consumption of the electrical panel is below 80% of its capacity for more than 15 minutes. The Gen-3 of the DCC-10 has the ability to receive and transmit load shedding instructions from an external energy management system via a dry contact input and output.
